Tourism
Congratulations! You’ve made a decision or about to make a decision regarding where to spend your hard earned holiday. New Zealand is everything you have thought it was and more. Our country and The Nelson, Tasman and Marlborough Regions in particular, have a little of everything to offer the most discerning traveler. Yacht Services NZ can introduce you to the absolute best our country has to offer.
Be it sailing, learning to sail or gourmet sailing in the pristine waters of Tasman Bay or Marlborough Sounds, paddle boarding, kite surfing, kayaking, canoeing, trekking, mountaineering, fishing, birdwatching, hunting, camping in the bush, skydiving, scuba diving, camper vans, lovely boutique hotels, golf, or Wine Tasting, The Nelson, Tasman and Marlborough Regions offer some of the most spectacular opportunities to do any and all of these activities that you’ll find in New Zealand.
Yacht Services NZ designs unforgettable holidays for individuals and groups. Imagine arriving in New Zealand with 5 to 10 friends, clearing customs and then being flown in a modern aircraft reserved for you and your friends to Nelson at a price that’s less than your group could obtain from a commercial carrier between Auckland and Nelson! Upon your arrival in Nelson you’ll be met and escorted to a local boutique hotel for your first night’s stay. Then after touring the city, having a delicious meal and good night’s sleep you set sail on a gourmet charter yacht from Nelson, crossing Tasman Bay, catching your dinner fresh from the sea, watching dolphins, orcas or seals swim around your yacht and anchoring for the night in a quiet secluded bay in the Abel Tasman National Park or Marlborough Sounds. Not a soul around, just you, your travelling companions, the sound of waves lapping on the hull and birds in the bush on shore. The next morning you go for a swim, kayak with seals and hike on wonderful trails through one of the most beautiful parks in New Zealand, The Abel Tasman National Park or on trails within the Marlborough Sounds. Those of us fortunate enough to have done this have one word to describe the experience - MAGIC!
Or maybe you want to go trekking in one of our beautiful National Parks. Our regions have two of the best National Parks in New Zealand! The Abel Tasman National Park is one of New Zealand's most treasured gems with native forests reaching to the waterline where it meets golden beaches and rocky headlands. Walking, mountain biking and camping are superb here, and scenic tracks lead around the coast while others venture higher into the hills. Our Kahurangi National Park is a very special place. The name Kahurangi means ‘treasured possession’ in Maori, and is New Zealand’s second largest national park. You’ll find mountains, spectacular karst landforms, caves, forests, tussock lands, beautiful rivers filled with world class trout, rugged coastlines and some of New Zealand’s best tramps in our local ecological wonderland. Kahurangi is home to The Heathy Track, the longest of New Zealand's Great Walks. The Heathy track takes about 6 days, and you can ride a mountain bike along the trail at certain times of the year. A friend of mine recently ran The Heathy Track in two days.
Coming to New Zealand for the first time can be daunting. Where to go and what to see in the limited time available on your holiday is not easy. Should your holiday be on a yacht, on foot, in a camper van or rented car, Yacht Services NZ can assist you and/or your party in setting up an adventure that will introduce you to the Nelson, Tasman and Marlborough regions, the absolute best New Zealand has to offer. And if your ability to speak English needs improvement before being able to fully enjoy our country we can help with that too with classes in conversational English or by putting you in touch with a few of Nelson’s better English language training centres…
Yacht Services NZ has been arranging these and more activities for captains, owners and guests of visiting superyachts and cruising yachts for several years and now we are offering the same services to travellers without yachts coming to our spectacular country. Let us assist you in planing your holiday. Contact us today and one of our specialists will contact you to discuss your dreams and assist in planning your wonderful holiday! We look forward to hearing from you!
